Nutritionist Nottingham

If you’re here then I’m guessing you’re looking for some support, guidance and help. Well you’ve come to the right place.

Do you feel like you don’t really know where to turn anymore? That doctors just don’t have the time to see you or they’re not really listening to you? They don’t understand how you’re feeling and the answer just seems to be more medication?

Do you find yourself getting lost in a sea of information online, and it’s all so different and sometimes contradictory? and friends and family want to help but just keep giving you anecdotal stories about other friends and their magical remedies?

Well if any of that sounds like you then you’ve come to the right place!

Helen is a qualified nutritional therapist based in Nottingham and her aim is to help you cut through all the noise and give you the specific advice to help you get back to leading a healthier and happier life.

Whether you’re struggling with your digestion, you are looking to lose weight, you want to have more energy throughout the day or take back control of your symptoms then she can help you on your journey by giving you the information, tools and techniques to help improve your health and wellbeing.

All consultations are now conducted online.

In the last couple of years all consultations moved online. This has proved very popular with clients and so is something Helen has continued to do. Not only does it mean she’s been able to pass the savings from clinic costs on to you through her pricing it also means you don’t need to worry about travel time, traffic and all the other issues that come with getting to an appointment.

You can just relax in the comfort of your own home and get the same professional service from Helen that you would get in person.

Helen can support you with your symptoms across a number of conditions helping you get to the root cause of what’s going on and providing tailored support just for you to help you on your way back to your own optimal health and wellbeing.

Dan C, Birmingham

Seeing Helen has been the best thing I’ve done. I’ve got my snacking under control, I have loads more energy and want to go out and play football again in an evening rather than being too tired and falling asleep on the sofa. She was really professional and explained the science behind all her suggestions clearly so I knew why I was making the changes and how they’d help. She was really friendly and didn’t judge me at all about what I was doing before.”

Lesley J, Liverpool

Helen is really patient and encouraging and has made such a difference to my life. I feel like a different person now having suffered with health issues for so long I’d forgotten what feeling healthy felt like. I am so much happier now and can’t wait for my next session.

Sarah H, Bedford

I went to Helen with lots of menopause symptoms. She was very knowledgeable and gave me a plan around my diet and lifestyle and some recommended supplements and it has made such a difference. I barely get any hot flushes any more, I can sleep through the night, my bloating has gone and I’ve managed to lose half a stone.

Gemma A, Leicester

Helen is really professional and very knowledgeable and I would recommend her to anyone that’s not quite feeling right and might not know why. She is really thorough and gets to the cause of what is happening and has helped me so much and with our regular catch ups I keep improving and no longer feel tired all the time and have managed to stop reaching for the chocolate every afternoon!

Sue D, London

After seeing Helen everything is so much better! I no longer get bloated after eating, my stomach pains have gone and I no longer worry about eating out as Helen has explained everything I need to do clearly and taken the confusion and worry away. She was great.”

Wendy M, Nottingham

Helen was really friendly and didn’t judge me at all. She gave me a plan that was really easy to follow and I feel so much better for it. I’ve managed to lose 5kg already and I have so much more energy

After the consultation you will then be sent a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme to follow along with some helpful resources.

Follow up consultations will then follow at regular intervals for as long as you require the support to monitor progress and develop your programme further to achieve your health goals.

Having been a part of big corporate workforces for most of my adult life I understand the pressure on people and teams and that health and wellbeing isn’t always the top of everyone’s priorities.  However, having a healthy team really helps not just improve the lives of your people but also improve productivity and lead to fewer sick days and health related costs for the business. I can help educate and inspire your team to make positive changes to support their own personal health and wellbeing for the benefit of all. I’m a nutritionist in Nottingham, however, I deliver these services to businesses big and small throughout the UK.

How much does it cost to see a nutritionist?

It can cost anywhere between £50 and £500 to see a nutritionist for your first appointment and some may even change more.  To see a qualified nutritionist or nutritional therapist it will generally cost a minimum of £100 for an hours consultation.  You should always look for a registered and qualified nutritionist when looking to book. At Helen Jane Nutrition, nutritionist Nottingham, my initial consultations are £150.

Is it worth seeing a nutritionist?

It is worth seeing a nutritionist or nutritional therapist for many reasons. You may just not have been feeling yourself and can’t get to the bottom of why that is, you might want help losing weight or support with symptoms of the menopause or you may be suffering with a condition and you want support to help you get back to optimal health alongside the work of your doctors.  A qualified nutritionist can help you get to the root cause of all these issues and create a plan tailored to you that aims to address your concerns and achieve your health goals.

What's the difference between a dietician and a nutritionist?

A nutritionist is a broad term that is not regulated so always look for a qualified and registered nutritional therapist.  A nutritional therapist (or nutritionist) will work privately with clients and like to consider the uniqueness of every individual rather than taking a one size fits all approach.

They will make personalised diet and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your specific needs.  They will also work alongside your medical team where needed. There are a number of differences between a dietician and a nutritionist. A dietician is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council and they will help to treat certain medical conditions.  Dieticians often work within the NHS.

Can a nutritionist help you lose weight?

A nutritionist can absolutely help you lose weight. Through the consultation process they will get to understand you and what the cause of the weight gain may be as there are often many contributing factors.  Your nutritionist will then create a personalised plan just for you, giving you nutrition and lifestyle recommendations as part of a programme to help you lose weight and achieve your goals.

How do I choose a nutritionist?

One of the most important things to look for when choosing a nutritionist is that they are qualified and registered.  Look for someone that has done a diploma or a degree and is registered with a body such as BANT or ANP.  I am a qualified nutritionist Nottingham, with a diploma from CNM which required studying for 3 years, and I am registered with both BANT and ANP.  I also work as a Nutritionist London and all over the UK.
